So Behind... Where did August and September go!?

Lets just say I'm really bad at keeping this up. I thought I would be better at it. To tell you the truth I think I DREAD writing cause I read everyone else's blogs and then I think to myself I should update mine and then I just never do. So I'm going to try and tackle posting 2 months worth of stuff.... Bare with me I will try and not bore you and post lots of pictures!

September

Yesterday (9/27/11)
Byron and I went out to dinner and got some ice cream after. It was nice to get out even with taking carston. He has done lots better this week, Which is a relief for me. He is sleeping through the night where I wake him up at 7 am to feed him and then he goes down for a nap at 9 and will sleep til 11 then go down at 1 and sleep for another 2 hours then he'll go down one more time for an hour then we just keep him up and then i feed him one last time for the night. I think it is so much better having a SET schedule now. It's better for me and also for him.

Some of the things he loves and is doing these days are:
Eating his fingers
Playing with his toys on the floor
Talking... well just making noises
Smiling
Sitting up
Standing on our laps
Rolling over with maybe just a little assistants
Being held by mom and dad

I can't believe he is 3 months old now Where has the time gone?

I know it's still warm for a jacket we were just trying it on and it looked so cute on him!

Not a lot has happened this month so there will be a lot of pictures!

Last Tuesday or Wednesday??
Byron's parents came over after his mom had been to the doctors and told us that.... She Has Stage III ovarian cancer. They are went to the doctors on Monday to schedule appointment for the surgery after returning from Vegas this weekend where they evicted there tenants because they were not paying anymore. They fixed it up and put it up for rent and while they were down there they found someone to rent it for a year. What a blessing it is in there lives to not have to stress over it now! They got back and went to a different doctor and he told them that he thinks it is just a tumor on her ovary but he isn't for certain so they schedule an appointment for Monday October 5th to have her surgery where they will do test and then find out the results. We are hoping and praying that she doesn't have the cancer and won't have to go through the chemotherapy. She is an amazing women and we lover her so much. She has helped us out a ton! It's going to be hard having her down for 4-6 weeks!

Also we found out that Byron's dad has prostate cancer just 3 weeks prior to all of this! Luckily his is an earlier stage and they will be doing surgery October 19th.
They are both so young. It's crazy cause my parents are the same age as them born in the same month and everything.

September 9th-10th

Byron played a show at Sammy's in Provo with his band. It was Peach days weekend and I wanted to go and visit some of my friend so I took carston up with me since we wouldn't of gone to his show so it would of been lonely at the house. Plus my parents had Nicole's kids while they went to Texas for the BYU game. It was a fun weekend!

Easton loves holding baby carston! They are going to be
Best buds!

September 3rd
BYU's first football game! Byron was so excited he started counting down like 2 weeks before.

Gotta love his smile!

August!

August 26th was one of my best friends weddings. We headed up to Brigham to spend the weekend. She was beautiful!

Just some more random pictures..

We gave carston his first hair cut on August 20th (2 months old)
Because he lost his hair on top and the sides were long so he looked like an old man.. So we just blended it so the sides are shorter than the top to make it look better!

At first i didn't really like it cause it looked like a military haircut. but it's grown in better.

He totally looks at the t.v now

He's trying to see the t.v.
 Bath time!

So our home teacher is moving back to Texas and they had this walker that they didn't want anymore so they gave it to us. How nice of them. Logan is using it for the time being because carston can't sit up in it quite yet he kept falling forward but I got some pictures of him in it!

So I went to get ready one day and told Byron to watch carston for me and next I hear Byron laughing and came to show me these pictures of carston...

He decides to sit carston up and see if he can sit by himself
He's not even 2 months yet
Do you think I'm going to stay here
 Nope..
He didn't cry just making some noises

Grabbing the toy (only cause mom did it) ha

Next up is Byron's Birthday (8/10/11)

Charlene and her family came down for the week cause it had been a while since they'd been to Provo to visit. We decided to go to Utah lake and take the seadoo's out. It was a fun and long day! I hope Byron loved it. We got him a guitar but I wanted him to pick it out so I just went and bought a kids toy guitar so he would get the idea.

What a fun day!

The day before his birthday I went over to Amy's to visit Charlene and her family. It was the first time they saw carston since he was born and Charlene had fun taking pictures with Amy's new camera. They watched him while I went to the dentist!

Saturday August 6th
We headed up to Salt Lake for Byron's cousin's daughters baptism. It was nice to see some of his family since I haven't met most of his extended family. Then after we had lunch with them and then headed to see Tauna's new place in Riverton then went to Tucano's in Salt Lake for my dad's birthday.

On the way to the lunch in after the baptism he was tired ad as soon as we took him out he fell asleep in Byron's hands! ha

August 5th
First time out on the lake all summer! It was a nice day!

The Start of a new life...

A Year ago today I met my Best Friend.
The guy who swept me off my feet.
The guy who liked me for who I am.
The guy who is there for me for anything.
The guy who makes me laugh.
The guy who has taught me thing about life.
The guy who has Spoiled me.
The guy who loves me.

We've had our up's and down's,
But they have just made us that much closer.
I wouldn't change this memory I have of when we first met.
I am the luckiest and happiest girl,
To have Byron Garvin in my life.
I love you, Byron.
Thank you for all the Adventures along the way!
I hope to have many more to come our way.

Life Changing Day

A Week ago yesterday we had our 40 week doctors appointment in the morning, it just so happened to be on my due date 6/21/11, we found out some news that we were not expecting! The doctor checked to see how far I was dilated and  I was only a 2+. :( so they aren't going to start me but they would strip my membranes. Thats when the doctor said I don't think that was the head I felt, I think I felt his bum cause their was a crack. So now we need to see for sure where his head is so we went and got an ultrasound right away. He was right his head was Breeched. Now what to do??? There are a couple of options: 1. We can try delivering breech, but thats not in the picture. We don't want to harm the baby even though it has been done before but since it's my first it's not the best option. 2. We can go straight to c-section, Which I wasn't planning so i'd like to do something different if we can since we have had no time to take that option in, Unless it best for the baby then I could do it. 3. We can do an external version, Which is where we try and turn the babies head down by having the doctor push on the stomach.
We decided to go with the 3rd option. They told us they like to catch it sooner than 38 weeks because he is full term now and it is going to be more difficult and their is less fluid now. It sound like a better option and we thought why not try everything cause if we all goes smooth we would deliver then. If there were complications or it was not successful then we'd do the c-section.
The doctor said he would try and get us in today and if not by tomorrow cause it's been busy over at labor and delivery.
So we headed home to wait until we heard from they doctors office.
Around 3:00 we got a call from the office asking if we could be there in a half hour to get in and have our baby!!!!! Ahh, it's came so quick!!
So many emotions running though our minds.
We got all our things pack or hopped we'd got everything.
Everything was happening so fast it was almost like we didn't have time to think about the whole situation. WE WERE HAVING THE BABY TODAY!!! :) What a blessing and a miracle it was.
We arrived at the hospital around 4:00, got checked in and then headed to our room where I was hooked up to machines and got ready to get the epidural so they could try and turn our little guy.
It was around 5:15 when they got the epidural in and we had to wait til 5:40 til it kick in and they doctor could come in and try turning him.
lets just say I don't know that I will go that route again unless it is done sooner in the pregnancy.
It was not the most comfortable thing. I could't feel the doctor pressing on my stomach which was good cause he was pressing really hard. But I could feel the baby's head going into my ribs.
Can you say OUCH!! I felt as though I couldn't breath!
Turned out that my stomach was too tight and he could not move him.
The doctor was the most experienced with this but just couldn't do it.
Plus the baby's heart rate dropped so they were worried about that.
But once they stopped and gave him a minute his heart rate went right back up!
WHEW!!
They started prepping the surgery room.
During all of this I was thinking to my self....
I don't know that I can go through with this..
It's all come quick and I was not feeling ready.
People do it all the time though, Why can't I?
He was born at 6:14
7 lbs. 3 oz.
19"
The most Handsome, Adorable, Lovable, Cutest little boy EVER!! :)
Wouldn't change this day if I could!!
He is the sweetest thing you could ask for, So Precious and Sweet!
We couldn't settle on a name until about the last day, It was a good thing we stayed 3 days so we could think it over.
Because we couldn't think of a middle name for him but we decided to go with....

CARSTON BRADLEY GARVIN

Byron loves this picture
He is exhausted

 He is so precious!

What a cutie!?

He really is the best baby ever!
Especially now that he is getting milk.
They say babies don't work like a clock, but he sure does.
He eats every 3 hours and in the night he can sleep 4 hours in between feeding.
Seriously the best! :) :) :)
We love that Carston is a part of our lives now.

SUMMER!

It's Summer Now!!!
I can't believe how time has flown by. Yesterday we went to Seven Peaks with Byron's brother Daniel, His wife Kyrstin, and their little boy Logan. We have the pass of all passes, so looks like we will be spending the summer there since it is so close. Got our first sunburn of the summer so it feels more like summer! What I like most about the pass is that we can go for just a couple hours and we feel like we've got our money's worth instead of paying 26.00 every day we go for that long. It's going to be a BLAST!
Monday I went up to brigham with my sister and her kids to see our New sweet little NIECE! Lins had her baby Saturday June 4th At 4:04 pm what a cool time! haha Reese Jeppsen is the cutest little thing. Just makes me Anxious to get our LITTLE MAN here. It could happen any day now!
Saturday My niece Brooklyn Dunn got baptized. It was a great day! I'm so proud of her and her decision. She is the nicest girl. Everyone is just growing up so fast.
Friday was my LAST day working at SPORT CLIPS unless I decide to go back after I have to baby but we'll see if that happens. It was taking a tole on my feet and ancles they started swelling this last month so i've had to try and put them up after work or they would look bad! haha It's good to be done but now what to do with my time??
Poor Byron was sick all week with what I believe was they flu but he thought it was maybe a stomach bug. I'm just hoping I don't catch it cause that wouldn't be good for me being pregnant cause he couldn't keep much down. I felt so bad for him. He was so week from friday til monday but he still went to work monday cause it was better than before. Just glad it's over with! :)
